9 October 2017: Thematic Cluster Meeting on Social Inclusion

Brussels (Belgium) – On the 9th of October INSPORT+ participated in the “Thematic Cluster Meeting on Social Inclusion: Inspiring Trends in European Funded Projects”, organised by the agency EACEA of the European Commission.

This event gathered various projects, selected under the Erasmus+, Europe for Citizens and Creative Europe programmes, all addressing the same topic: social inclusion.

The programme included a panel discussion on the perception of social inclusion and four parallel workshops on:

  • Intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding;
  • Giving voice: becoming an active part of society;
  • Educators, workers, professionals, coaches, volunteers;
  • Solidarity in times of crisis: new models of social engagement.

It was a valuable and much appreciated initiative to meet and exchange project experiences among various sectors (education, culture, sport, youth, media and citizenship) and to receive inspiration and new ideas for synergies across different sectors and programmes.
